LEED Education and Consulting
Education is the key to a sustainably built environment. In a
2004 study on the cost of green building, Davis Langdon
conducted a cost analysis on 93 diverse construction projects.
The study showed that there is no significant difference in the
construction costs for LEED-seeking versus non-LEED buildings
in any category. Despite this statistic, and others like it, there is
still a perception that LEED projects cost more than traditional
construction projects.

Ellen Reed has served as LEED facilitator on
several projects and has taught more than 200
students sustainable building practices in the
past year. As a member of the USGBC North
Florida Executive Board of Directors and a
Regional Representative to USGBC National,
she is able to present the most up-to-date
LEED information to her students. |
